Schmoedown Logos

After designing the main Movie Trivia Schmoedown logo I created many variations for the different divisions, events and shows. My idea for the show redesign was to have each division recognizable by a main color, this played into the rest of the graphics for the show as well. I created all of these as vector art in Adobe Illustrator.
SCHMOEDOWN EVENT LOGOS

The Movie Trivia Schmoedown had many different shows, seasons, pay per views and live events. I kept them on brand for what I had built with the show's redesign but they also had to stand out as a new or special event. I had to keep in mind these could be displayed on a live stage backdrop or in the corner of a video on someone's phone. Most of these also were sold on apparel like t-shirts which I had to prepare for while creating them.
Schmoedown T-Shirts

Merchandise, like t-shirts and hats, was a big part of the Movie Trivia Schmoedown. I created designs for specific teams, players, factions or live events. These were also all created in Adobe Illustrator as vector art.
SCHMOEDOWN MATCH THUMBNAILS

I created thumbnails for almost every match or event in the MTS, hundreds of videos over the five years I worked on the show. Each season or event needed to look different and stand out from what we had done previously. I created the designs and made Photoshop templates using Smart Objects to streamline the process as much as I could. These thumbnails were also used as marketing on social media. Every social media app uses a different aspect ratio for image posting so I had to make versions of every thumbnail.
SCHMOEDOWN POSTERS

To advertise the show I created posters for a lot of the matches or events throughout each season. Some of these were traditional posters, others were more creative and based on the people taking part in the event. Adding the competitors to famous movie posters became something the audience enjoyed. A lot of the images that I had to use were just screenshots from episodes which made it more difficult to pull off.
SCHMOEDOWN PRODUCTION GRAPHICS

I redesigned the look of the graphics for the Schmoedown almost every season. Sometimes just to keep it fresh, but in 2020 the MTS had to transition to a new format to allow people to participate remotely. We went from having one camera in each shot to multiple cameras. This required designing a system of overlays that could adjust from two to six cameras, a live scoreboard to an area that displayed the current question or make room for a large digital wheel. Like everything on a large production like this it was all done under extremely tight deadlines on top of all my other responsibilities.
SCHMOEDOWN CHAMPIONSHIP BELTS

One of my favorite things I designed while working on the MTS was new championship belts for the movie trivia champions in each division. I had never designed anything like this before but I came up with designs that would work for the production process but also have enough "Schmoedown attitude" to feel like they fit on the show.
