Retail Marketing DESIGN

The majority of my time working for Bass Pro Shops was spent on the retail marketing mailers that came out twice a month. These were sale ads that usually had about 30-35 pages (more during larger events like Spring Fishing Classic or Black Friday). My job was to work with the Marketing and Merchandising departments to develop the campaign and then create the cover pages, interior marketing pages and page templates for other designers to use for the product pages. Since these were always the first pieces designed for each campaign the designs I made filtered out to the rest of the Art and Marketing departments for catalogs and advertising. I had a team of production artists, copywriters and photographers I directed to help accomplish this every two weeks.
MARKETING SPREADS & VERSIONS
The covers and marketing pages for these had to be versioned for every store. At that time BPS had 52 retail stores across North America. Each store had different events and the types of items that people would buy varied based on where they were. I had to create versions based on that information.
Marketing & Retail Special Projects
I spent some of my time working on special projects for the Marketing and Merchandising departments. I designed logos, packaging, store signs and anything else that came up. I also worked to develop marketing and branding ideas for things like magazine ads and new clothing lines.
